Summers are incomplete without tasting mangoes. If you are in Delhi or planning to come to then how about tasting 500 mangoes. Yes you are right Mango festival in Delhi is scheduled this month 29th to 1st July, 2018.You will be able to taste different varieties, including Alphanso, Totapuri, Rataul, Himsagar, Bombay Green and many more in this fair.
This festival started as inspirational event to promote the region’s mangoes, and support small farmers and women in agriculture. Event at Dilli Haat Janakpuri, also have a mango eating competition. Contestants will be asked to finish 3 Kg mango in 3 minutes.
Celebrating 30 years
Amazing part this year will be 30 year celebration of this festival. Which will be a 3 day festival starting from 29th June to 1st July, 2018. Apart from this there will cultural program, third amazing attraction will be mango based products. DTTDC (Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation) lot of Indian Mangoes will be displayed but they are also trying mangoes from other countries as well.
How to reach
To reach Dilli haat you can travel with Metro till Tilak Nagar metro station from there DTTDC will organize free shuttle service. Also there are DTC busses till Janakpuri from all the major Bus terminals available. There is no separate entry charge for the festival.
