Orphans: I was among one of the blessed child who does not have to wait a long to get want I wanted. So every time I used to walk up to my parents to make hue and cry to get what I wished for. Every time they were there in hard and good times to support me in ups and down of life. In fact till a certain age I was not even aware of the fact that to get something what amount of hard work is required. The same story goes for most of us until you look up to someone who at a very small age. Working hard to earn a bread for him/herself or don’t even know what a wish means despite of us fighting for religion, caste and color.

8 million Orphan

Yes you are right I am talking about ORPHAN’s. Small word but impact unimaginative for any of us blessed with parents. Just imagine life without parents, how would it be?

So a study done by Unicef tells us that there are 8 million orphans in India. Before I tell you further let us understand who is an Orphan?

A child/adult whose biological parents are deceased or otherwise unable or unwilling to take care of them due. Who are forced to live their lives in darkness in either ways is an orphan. They do not have any religion, caste or color nor are they for any party or country. They only look for a hand to hold with and tell them “Beta I am there for you every time you need me”

Situation in Orphanages

8 million Indian kids are forced to live their life either in orphanage or on streets. Where we don’t even give a dam to look at them.

So it is not that everything is a problem yes there are so many institutions working for orphans. Most institutional orphanages are overcrowded and dilapidated. Some rife with corruption, neglect and abuse. Even when managed by people with good intentions, orphanages often lack the necessary funds, resources and knowledge to properly provide for the children in their care. The fact is, most of the children in these institutions don’t stand much of a chance of breaking out of the cycle of poverty and thriving as independent adults.

So what is the solution?

Solution is very simple let’s join hand’s and adopts an orphan. Yes so good news is that for every 9th couple there is one orphan to be adopted. Who is that 9th couple.

Decision is yours you want to wait for that 9th couple. Instead take a step ahead with if not adopting. Start helping or spending out some Quality time from our busy schedule.
